A: If you live within the ISAAC / Mackay region the roster cycle would be 5 days on / 2 days off
If you fly in / fly out the roster cycle would be 2 weeks on / 1 week off
A: MAICON books ahead and pays for flights to a set amount, which is defined in our Employment Contract.
A: MAICON operates seven (7) days a week. Minimum hours worked will be equivalent to a 38 hour week, so if you are working a 2 week on / 1 week off roster that equates to 114 hours within that 2 weeks rostered on.
A: MAICON employees are paid a rolled-up hourly rate for normal hours of operation, which applies across the seven (7) days in the week.
Penalty rates apply for work outside of those hours e.g. evening / night work.
A: Yes. We have an Employment Contract with our employees that is discussed and re-signed each year.
Note: If you are employed on a casual basis with MAICON the Employment Contract will reflect that employment status.
A: The Employment Contract sets out the responsibilities and obligations of MAICON as the employer and the responsibilities and obligations of the employee. This means that there is a shared understanding between both parties from the beginning of the working relationship.
